Description
Three works of lyric expressiveness adapted for flute.
Robert Schumann composed his Three Romances for oboe and piano.
César Franck composed his Sonata in A Major — the most beloved of all French violin sonatas — for the legendary violinist Eugène Ysaÿe who introduced it in Brussels in December 1886.
The Sergei Prokofiev Sonata was a flute version in its first edition in 1943, though Prokofiev had begun the work five years earlier as a violin sonata for David Oistrakh.
