Nancy Green/Frederick Moyer:
Rachmaninoff: Sonata in G for Piano & Cello
Tchaikovsky: Pezzo Capriccioso
RACHMANINOFF/TCHAIKOVSKY coverDifficult personal circumstances, a spirit of renewal, and coincidence relate the two works on this album.  Tchaikovsky's Pezzo Capriccioso was a late, brief work, while Rachmaninoff's Sonata was an early effort by a promising young pianist.

(Also on GM Recordings, hear Frederick Moyer on Bach: Partita Number 5 in G Major, , Rachmaninoff: Corelli Variations, Three Centuries Live (works by Haydn, Brahms, Prokofiev), Reger: Studies for the Left Hand, , Walker: Piano Sonata Number 4, , Ravel: Valses Nobles et Sentimentales, Mendelssohn: Suite of Seven Pieces, , and Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition.)

"Ms. Green plays with a simplicity of expression
which is refreshing."
